Course Description

The course introduces the effects of introducing a heteroatom in a cyclic system, both on chemical and physical properties. The students will be familiar with the broad field of heterocyclic organic chemistry by reviewing the major classes of heterocyclic compounds in terms of nomenclature, structure, properties, preparations, and reactions. Prerequisite: 1420217.
