1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Uniwise ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Uniwise is a platform that allows students to rate and review professors at UAE universities, access course materials, view grade distributions, and book tutoring sessions. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with varying levels of access.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must:

Create an account with accurate information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Be at least 16 years of age
Not share your account with others

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content

Reviews and Ratings

When submitting reviews, you agree to:

Provide honest and accurate information based on your genuine experience
Not include personal attacks, defamation, or harassment
Not include hate speech, discrimination, or inappropriate content
Not post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
Not include personal identifying information of others

Uploaded Content

When uploading course materials, you confirm that you have the right to share such content and that it does not infringe on any copyrights or intellectual property rights.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
All fees are in AED (UAE Dirhams) and are non-refundable
We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

6. Tutoring Services

Our tutoring services are subject to the following terms:

Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session may result in forfeiture
Free tutoring hours included in subscriptions do not roll over to the next month
Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of Uniwise

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service
Impersonate another person or entity
Submit false or misleading reviews
Circumvent any content restrictions or paywalls

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Uniwise and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted reviews or content. Uniwise is not responsible for the opinions expressed in user reviews.

10. Limitation of Liability

Uniwise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
