UndergraduateSelf-Driving Cars
Course Description
objective of this course is to provide guided experience in wide areas of artificial intelligence and computer vision to student teams working on a major design project. The projects will integrate various engineering skills into self-driving car prototype. The projects will emphasize problem definition, design conceptualization, modeling, fabrication and system integration in software and hardware aspects. This course builds on concepts learned earlier coursework on vision, machine learning, and control to introduce students to practical self-driving cars technology. Topics include lane detection, traffic sign classification, convolutional neural networks (CNN) architectures for self-driving cars behavior cloning, sensor fusion, localization, planning, and proportional–integral–derivative (PID) control.
