Course Description
course introduces undergraduate students to the fundamentals of engineering problem solving. It utilizes vector algebra and free body diagrams to solve statics problems. Students apply mathematics, calculus and physics to solve engineering problems such as, calculation of external and internal forces acting on rigid bodies (and particles) under static equilibrium. The course also enables students to analyze distributed forces; locate centroid; find moments of inertia, and draw moment and shear diagrams..
