Course Description

purpose of this course is to understand and analyze requirements and challenges for implementing future smart grids including different forms of distributed generation. Recent approaches for implementing smart grids will be covered in more detail. Then renewable energy resources will be covered with details of system constraints, challenges, design and control. Case studies will be included to understand the major challenges in wind and solar power integration in Europe and North America.
