Course Description
Physical Geology is an introductory course intended to introduce you to the range of topics investigated by geology and geologists. As in any science, geology is defined by a set of concepts and the terminology used to describe and classify those concepts. You will experience many terms from the geologist’s vocabulary. I will do everything that I can to ensure that this semester will be a stimulating learning experience for all of us. If you ever have questions or need help, please feel free to contact me and to freely communicate with your fellow learners. Together, I trust that we will have an exciting, stimulating and rewarding class adventure. In particular to those aspects of science that seek to understand the origin, evolution, and present form of the Earth and similar bodies in the solar system (and perhaps in other systems as well).
