Course Description
This course provides the student with a detailed overview of contemporary leadership theory and practice and considers the nature of leadership in today’s organizational context. Leadership is compared to management and the theories of leadership are considered as an evolutionary process from trait theory to contingency approaches. Leadership is examined as both a relationship process and as an opportunity to shape an organization that is capable of dealing with the growing public interest in sustainability. The course also offers students a potential for self-assessment and leadership development.
