Course Description
studio)Prerequisite: IND 290 This course helps students understand the aesthetic and functional ergonomic aspects of furniture as well as develop their research, analysis, criticism and evaluation capabilities in the field of furniture design. The course will enhance students’ ability to recognize and appreciate design programming and abstract design expressed in sketches, and presentation drawings. Students should be able to design furniture pieces, solve furniture design problems and produce a variety of technical drawings of furniture pieces. This course will emphasize the technological aspects of producing furniture, models, shop drawings and presentation drawings.
