Course Description

purpose of the course is to help students learn the basic principles, techniques and approaches to writing effectively for television, radio and new media. Students are introduced to basic script formats, terminology, and writing techniques, including the writing of commercials, public service announcements, promotions, news, documentaries and short dramatic scripts. There will be in-class writing workshops designed to improve both students writing skills and style of writing.
