Course Description

This course provides a framework for understanding the values, attitudes and behaviors of individuals and groups in an organizational setting. This course explains how individuals and groups function to achieve goals and the reasons for successes or failure in achieving these goals. Specific topics covered in this course include: theoretical foundations of organizational behavior personality and individual differences; the impact of values, attitudes, and job satisfaction on organizational behavior; motivational theories; group dynamics and decision making; communication and leadership; power, politics, and influence within an organizational context; organizational design and its role in achieving organizational goals. The course emphasizes practical applications of concepts, theories and framework covered in the course in the workplace. By doing so, this course prepares students to manage behavior of individuals and groups within an organization in order to achieve organizational goal
