Course Description
This course designed to provide students with a comprehensive theoretical background and practical skills in special education curriculum and instruction with a focus on curriculum evaluation, curriculum integration and educational improvement. Students will study and practice the different methodology and instructional strategies in special education. The study of this course will prepare them to take on increased responsibilities in the planning, implementation, research, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction and assessment through developing their own project and design curriculum outlines model. The course will provide them also with the most recent approaches and methods in curriculum development in special education area. The study of curriculum can help students to design materials and instructional procedures for teaching exceptional individuals using Individualized Educational Plans (IEP), Curriculum selection, program design, and classroom organization will be considered
