Hamdy Mohamed Abdelhamid Hamed

Dr. Hamdy Abdelhamid holds a Ph.D. and European Doctorate from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain (2007), with research focused on developing CAD models for nanoscale SOI MOSFETs. In 2005, he was a Graduate Visiting Researcher at the University of Liverpool, UK. He joined the Microelectronics Laboratory at Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium, in 2007, and participated in several SOI technology training courses. Dr. Abdelhamid worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at McMaster University, Canada (2007-2009), and later joined the Center for Nanoelectronics and Devices at Zewail City of Science and Technology, Egypt (2012-2019). He has authored over seventy research papers in device modeling, energy harvesting, biosensors, VLSI, and simulations, along with book chapters, patents, and prototypes. Dr. Abdelhamid received funding from ITIDA (Egypt), ASRT (Egypt), and Ajman University for various projects, including energy harvesting, biomedical platforms, micro-grid systems, biosensors for bacteria detection, and COVID-19 research. He has been an IEEE Senior Member since 2015 and is a member of the American Nano Society and Nanotech-Bank. In 2020, he was nominated as a Technical Committee Member of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS). Since January 2019, Dr. Abdelhamid has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Ajman, UAE.

Dr. Hamdi is very good at explaining this course, but you must study the material regularly to avoid falling behind. Although he is very strict in grading, he grades fairly.
