Maria Laura Ruiu

Dr Ruiu's research interests fall into environmental and media sociology with a focus on climate change communication, social capital, and digital media. She has been involved in interdisciplinary research projects on the intersection between environmental and digital dimensions. She has also studied the communication management of the first phases of COVID-19 in Italy and new forms of digital vulnerability in the pandemic.
